songs about roving, rambling and plain hard luck & photography from the other side …

why am I soft in the middle, the rest of my life is so hard

A man walks down the street / It’s a street in a strange world / Maybe it’s the Third World / Maybe it’s his first time around / He doesn’t speak the language / He holds no currency / He is a foreign man / He is surrounded by the sound / The sound / Cattle in the marketplace / Scatterlings and orphanages / He looks around, around / He sees angels in the architecture / Spinning in infinity / He says Amen! and Hallelujah! Perfect Monday morning blues, Florian! (Albeit not really motivating to tackle the diffult things ahead…)

hello my dear, Florian, i have missed you… i am soft in a hard place too… sometimes i’m not sure if it’s worth it, but it is :) i love this picture by the way, kind of sad, but so beautiful

  4. Unter diesem weiten Himmel lässt sich gut grasen. Wir würden aber weitertraben wollen, bis zum Meer. Ein wahres Reisebild, und zwar vom Feinsten!
    Viele Grüße von uns!

Maybe it’s the Third World, this Fis(c)hland, maybe it’s a Peace Land, maybe we can rejoice like PS singing there, but surely it’s more than a „photo-opportunity“, that’s a picture which urged to be shot. The little black horse alone under the gray sky, it may be me, it may be you, Florian.
And one more thing: sadness transcended in joy, is it what PS called redemption?
Let’s follow, my friend, your road to know a little bit more of this shared world!

I will surely go for a walk in the third world, see if „humanity suffers from the same ills, or whether the mind taken over the rest…
    Great shot !

    All the best my friend.

that’s a good place to be my friend, a stranger, a foreigner. We’re always a stranger in someone’s land, we get better at being lost, so to speak. As long as we don’t become harsher when outside gets soft

  8. haha, love the humour in the headline/title of this shot, pal! it’s hard to be a little, black horse just as it’s hard to be a regular guy too, sometimes, but as this gem of yours show us all – it’s not all misery; there are quiet days and fields to graze upon, too.

    keep on shooting, buddy!

    Hepp!

Spinning in infinity…I think we are. Sometimes we are like that black pony just on the edge of that field of fine grass to eat–we just can’t take it all in–at one time, at least. I won’t remark about my being soft in the middle because I’m afraid that it extends to much more of me as well. Thanks for the smiles.

  10. Der erste Gedanke, den ich hatte, als ich das Foto sah – noch bevor ich die Überschrift gelesen habe, war: Was für ein sanftes Bild.

Wir hatten da wohl den gleichen Gedanken.
