strength’s revealed by what we build from the broken things inside
In love we find out who we are, in sorrow we abide / Our strength’s revealed by what we build from the broken things inside / But a day will come / When you will know which way you must choose to go / To travel on and live alone / Or turn yourself around and try to get back home (Jim White)
Folks, it’s a pleasure & honour all at the same time to be invited by the dear folks of pixartix to participate in their „Straßen & Wege“ cycle. So make sure you follow them great photos, great stories & great photographers over there as much as I do.
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Alle Paläste sind temporäre Paläste … vorzüglich deine Kombinationsgabe zwischen Bildinhalt und Songtext.
Einmal mehr ein grossartiger „Fritsch“!
Thumbs up!
Beautiful building that is !
You have well developed.
The message could be working with (almost?) everything. But it is here applied to palaces. And this palace is seen from the sidewalk, by a photographer who made the connection between a powerful architecture and the lyrics of a Jim White’s song. Something that makes yet stronger the original message and also opens a little box full of other messages about temporariness, fragility, death.
Florian, your great eye helps us for decoding the readable messages and the hidden ones offered by cities and its cityscapes.
was für ein schöner text zu diesem bild. ach, schön … das wort ist zu banal. der text fährt ein. unter die haut.
und das bild: grossartig!
I love the perspective for this shot !
Love the silver tones, the melding of the photo and song lyrics, and the less than subtle reminder of the sign. It all works very well together. Good work, Florian.
Isn’t that what we are all waiting for? For that one moment of clarity that tells which is the right direction in life. Albeit that we must always remember that nothing – not even the grandest palace – is forever
It’s interesting that I first read this as places and not palaces, made me think of Brahms:
„denn wir haben hier keine bleibende stadt“
always about the detail, very Fritsch indeed
Deine Fähigkeit Bilder mit Songtexten zu verbinden ist großartig und macht mir einen Riesenspaß. Diese Kombi hier ist wundervoll und das Foto beweist : mal nach oben gucken lohnt sich.
that’s a pretty cool shot of this place, great tones too! :)
Interesting way to composed this picture: you find a nice balance between bricks and sky.
Have a nice day.
