You see man made the cars that take us over the road / Man made the train to carry the heavy load / Man made the electric light to take us out of the dark / Man made the boat for the water like noah made the ark / This is a man’s, man’s, man’s world but there wouldn’t be nothing / Nothing without a woman or a girl (James Brown)

A flea market and real nice about my friends, nice photos
Grandios Florian!
„[…] there wouldn’t be nothing / Nothing without a woman or a girl“. But for some men, when there’s no woman or girl, for a lifetime or just a moment of the life, there’s the car, the love for the car. Not my cup of tea to take care of the car, my glass of wine or beer have always been to take the car and go traveling through unknown countries. And that’s how I cruised Africa, Americas and Europe for a long time. Until I stopped in Brazil.
Not my cup of tea to take care of the car, but that was among the skills of my travel partners. And I participated to the technical preparations. Your set of shots here remember me these happy times, Florian, the special smell of the garage, its special light. And the efforts and weariness of these days. A great great piece of world!
Very Nice. Makes me thinking somehow of Jeff Wall’s Destroyed Room, although destruction is obviously not The purpose of this man’s little world
You shouldn’t have cleaned things up for the photo!
I came across your site through Martina Elgi’s … and what a great set of creative photos you have. You seem like a master at Black & White images – something, I struggle converting. Is this your work space? Or a flea market, as mentioned above? If so, what a wide array of tools!
Not the usual stuff coming from Florian (HA!) this depiction 100% of full crazy-fun lift with giddiness… you’re right „Lost In The Wilderness“ and yes „Universal All The Same“… MAN-sort-of-thing/think hhhahahha…
hello sweet heart…. is that a garage? i had to pee in a garage the other day and i’m STILL traumatized about it lol a garage is not meant for my fine sensibilities lol…. and yes, the world would be nothing without us… reminds me of the movie ‚Legend‘ where the devil asks the demon ‚you mean the mare still lives????‘ (unicorn) and the demon says ‚yes master but she doesn’t matter, she’s only a female, she has no power’…. and the devil roars and says ‚only the power of CREATION!!!!’… yes well… the power of creation is all power really lol… so yeah :P nice shots of a totally traumatizing place, for me anyway :)
All the tools of the trade demand the knowledge to know how to use them. That’s like you and your photography, Florian. You certainly use your knowledge and vision like a craftsman.
ay, Fritsch, a very unusual series from your lens, but a great one still! the magic of the workshop, huh? it’s a real man’s world!
keep ‚em coming,m buddy!
Hepp!
You do not see the human only hint of his presence. Making a series are you ?
Good documentary shots of this workshop, and wonderful b&w.
A wonderful chaos, caught with a strong BW. I like it!
Have a nice day.
What a fascinating set of monochromes, my eyes wander around the images and discover so many objects. It’s easy to get lost in the numerous stories that can be told. Brilliant work!
